What’s Included in a Touch-Up Appointment at Get Tox’d?
At Get Tox’d, your confidence and satisfaction come first.
That’s why almost every treatment includes a complimentary touch-up appointment, a follow-up designed to ensure your results look balanced, natural, and exactly how you envisioned.
But what exactly happens during this visit, and why is it so important? Let’s break it down.
Why Do We Offer Touch-Ups?
Every face is unique, and so is every tox treatment.
Neurotoxins like Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport don’t show results instantly.
Instead, they take time to bind to the targeted muscles and relax them.
Onset of results: Subtle changes may appear in 3–7 days.
Peak results: Most patients see full results at 10–14 days.
Because of this gradual process, we schedule follow-ups at least one week after your initial treatment. Our window for treatment is between 10-21 days after your initial treatment. This allows enough time to evaluate how your results are settling before making adjustments. From there we could see what needs tweaking. Some clients might have stronger muscles than expected and therefore will need more units than anticipated. Others might have one eyebrow that moves a little differently than the other and need a couple of units to align it more closely to the other brow.
Why do you not do touch ups after 21 days?
After 21 days, you are considered in your tox cycle. What that means is that if we add more units after 21 days, we will not allow all of the tox to mature and metabolize at the same time. This will leave different muscle groups at different stages of their treatment and will affect how we dose your next appointment. If a muscle group is not fully recovered from the previous tox session, we risk accidentally underdosing it and perpetuating the different cycle times. This will leave you looking half done.
Secondly, the more you keep reintroducing tox into your system, the more of a tolerance you start to form, 3-4 months allows your body to maintain a low tolerance to the tox and keep the units you need as low as possible.

What Happens During the Touch-Up Appointment?
During your touch-up, one of our highly trained nurse injectors will:
Examine your results to ensure the product has settled evenly.
Take Pictures to see where you started and how far you have progressed.
Identify any areas that may need additional product for balance or symmetry.
Answer your questions about your results, aftercare, or future treatments.
This appointment usually takes just 15–20 minutes, but it’s a crucial step to guarantee optimal results.
What If I Need More Product?
Sometimes, certain muscles respond differently, or fine adjustments are needed for the best outcome. If more product is necessary, we’ll add it at no additional cost.
This complimentary service is part of our commitment to results that look natural while maintaining affordability and transparency.
What If My First Session Didn’t Take At All?
If your first session, didn’t yield any results at all, we would then discuss possible reasons. Those reasons might include:
A resistance or immunity
Improper aftercare
If you are resistant or immune from products such as Botox or Dysport, no product (including Xeomin) will work. There is a small chance to allow a resistance to weaken over time by refraining from using Botox or Dysport and only using Xeomin, however this is not a guarantee.

If you didn’t follow the aftercare protocol and exposed the treated area to too much direct heat, this will degrade the product and it will no longer have the same potency or effects.
We test to see which one you are by treating one muscle group and checking back after a week. If you respond, we will re-treat the areas. If you did not respond, then you are resistant and/or immune and are no longer a candidate for any Type A Tox, which is the type used for cosmetic treatments here in the USA and around the world.
