Downturned Smile lifted.
Relax the muscles that pull the corners of your mouth down, so you look less tired or upset at rest and your expression feels more lifted.
What DAO Botox does
The depressor anguli oris (DAO) muscles sit at the corners of your mouth and pull them downward. When they're strong, your resting face can look sad or tired, and marionette lines can look deeper.
A small amount of Botox, Xeomin or Dysport relaxes these muscles, letting the corners of your mouth sit a little higher. The result is a softer, more neutral expression and less emphasis on marionette lines.
Performed by licensed nurse injectors using FDA-approved Botox®, Xeomin® or Dysport®, at our Tomball and Bellaire locations.

DAO (Downturned Smile) FAQs
What does DAO stand for?
Depressor anguli oris, the muscle that pulls the corners of your mouth down.
Will it affect my smile?
Placement matters here, which is why it's done by experienced, licensed injectors. When placed correctly, your smile stays natural.
How long does it last?
Usually 3–4 months.
Does it get rid of marionette lines?
It can soften how they look by relaxing the downward pull. Deep, etched lines may need filler as well, which your injector can talk through.
